You ask for it!: Microwave chocolate fudge cake

 I received this request a long time ago, and from many people. When you have only microwave but want to make cake, you can't use the same recipe as the one that baked in the oven.
As the microwave use different kind of heat source, its wave makes the liquid move and that create heat. So, the basic cake recipe will become dry when heat in the microwave. 
This recipe has more liquid than other kind of cake recipe and you will heat it for only 50 seconds -2 minutes, depend on the size of the cup and your microwave. You can start at 50 seconds or small cup (or 1 minute for larger mug), then heat it more until the top start to firm. But remember that the cake will continue cook even you remove it from the oven, it will firmer, and for this recipe under cook is better than over cook ^^.
I add cup measurement for this recipe, as some of you may want to try your first baking experience without wanting to invest in digital scale.  
Even you are expert baker, I think this recipe is not bad at all, it's easy and very quick (no preheat needed, yeah!), and the result is soft, delicious chocolately cake, that all the chocoholic will love.



Microwave chocolate fudge cake
Makes 2-3 cakes depend on the size of your cup



60g or 1/4 cup .......................... Butter*, melted and cool
35g or 1/4 cup .......................... Brown sugar
55g or 1/4 cup .......................... Milk
1 ............................................... Egg
1/2tsp ....................................... Vanilla extract
30g or 1/4 cup .......................... Cake flour
20g or 1/4 cup .......................... Cocoa powder
1/8tsp ....................................... Baking powder

*Add pinch of salt if use unsalted butter





Sift the flour, baking powder and cocoa powder together.


Pour melted butter into a bowl. 
Put brown sugar, egg, milk and vanilla into the bowl.


 Stir to combine.


 Pour the sifted flour mixture into the bowl.


 Fold to combine.


Spoon into 2-3 microwavable cups, only half way of the cup.
Heat in the microwave at high power (1 cup at a time), for 50seconds -2 minutes, depend on the size of the cup and the power of your microwave.
When cooked, The top of the cake is firm but springy when touch lightly.


Serve hot with a scoop of ice cream is recommended, ^^.
